Manchester United are consistently linked with Danish international, Rasmus Hojlund, and the latest reports are intriguing.
Two days ago, Alfredo Pedulla exclusively revealed that Man Utd are prepared to submit a bid worth 60 million euros to sign the striker from Atalanta.
Transfer: Man Utd submit £34m offer to sign La Liga star – Report
However, the renowned journalist claimed that it would take a fee of more than 70 million euros to lure the youngster from the Serie A side.
On the other hand, yesterday, The Mail covered a story and stated that the Red Devils are preparing an offer to lure the 20-year-old forward.
The British media outlet state that the Italian side are looking to get a mammoth fee of £86million to sell their prized asset in the summer transfer window.
Gasperini is a huge admirer of the striker. Praising him, the Atalanta manager stated (The Athletic):
“He has very similar characteristics to Haaland, not just his face. He is so quick, he’s under 11 seconds over 100m and that’s not even trying very hard. Considering his height, he has a low Centre of gravity and can move his legs very fast.”
Man Utd need a world class striker to strengthen the attack for next season and in all fairness, Hojlund still has a lot to learn.
He started 20 games in the Serie A last term and found the net 9 times. Therefore, he is clearly not worth £86million.
Last summer, Man Utd overpaid to lure Antony as Ajax took advantage of Ten Hag’s interest and got themselves £86million for a player who flopped big time last season (Sky).
In your opinion, should the Old Trafford club bid big to sign Rasmus Hojlund?
