If reports in the media are anything to go by then Manchester United are prepared to agree fresh terms with Luke Shaw.
According to Mirror Sport, the England international is set for a new lucrative contract after a brilliant season with the Red Devils. Without doubt, he has been the best player at Old Trafford bar Bruno Fernandes and deserves a new deal.
Last season, the former Southampton left back missed 13 league games due to injury but this time around, he has mainly remained fit and regularly started under the management of Ole Gunnar Solskajer.
The Norwegian manager brought Telles to increase competition in the LB role and that has vastly improved the performances of Shaw. In 23 PL starts, he has helped Man Utd keep 11 clean sheets.
Moreover, in the attacking third, the 25-year-old has been impressive as well. He has directly contributed in 6 goals (1 goal and 5 assists) in the league.
Praising his top performances, former Old Trafford star Owen Hargreaves recently told BT Sport that Shaw is now the best left back in the country (via The Mail).
The ex Saints fullback’s current contract with the 20-time English champions will expire in 2023 and he earns around £190,000-a-week (Goal).
