Man Utd prepared to bid £77.8m+ to sign player – Ten Hag pressing hard

Erik ten Hag - Manchester United manager

In the past few years, Manchester United have spent a lot of cash to reinforce their wide attacking positions but the money has been wasted in all fairness.

The Red Devils broke the bank to lure Sancho in 2021 and the England international, who was a hit in Germany, proved to be a flop at Old Trafford.

News – Man Utd prepare move to sign £60m “strong, quick” star in winter

Last year, Erik ten Hag invested a huge amount on Brazilian international, Antony, and the former Ajax man has neither scored a goal nor provided a single assist in 13 appearances for United this season.

Therefore, the flanks must be improved and reports indicate the 20-time English champions are willing to pay a big amount to sign Estevao, better known as Messinho, from Palmeiras.

According to Spanish source, Fichajes, Man Utd are prepared to bid over £77.8m (90 million euros) to sign Estevao from the South American club.

Real Madrid are renowned for luring teenage attackers from Brazil and in recent years, they lured the likes of Vinicius, Rodrygo and Endrick.

Therefore, to beat the Los Blancos, Man Utd would be ready to pay more than £77.8m. The Spanish giants and other suitors are not willing to reach the figure.

The media outlet have mentioned that Erik ten Hag is pressing hard to sign Estevao. He has specifically asked United to make a significant financial effort to hire the 16-year-old boy from Palmeiras.

He is yet to make a senior appearance for the club and has netted just two goals in 14 outings for the Under-20 side.

Hence, it is surprising that Man Utd are prepared to splash a mammoth amount worth over £77.8m to sign him.
