Manchester United are going to be without Ander Herrera for next season as the Spaniard is leaving the club. Now, reports suggest that Solskjaer is prepared to let two more midfielders depart as well.
According to TEAMtalk, the Norwegian manager is ready to sell Nemanja Matic and record signing Paul Pogba and Man Utd are prepared to mount a big move to hire the services of French international Tanguy Ndombele.
It is understood that top clubs like Juve, PSG and Man City have held talks to lure the star from Lyon, who have already told the suitors that they will sell to the highest bidder. In such a scenario, Solskjaer is prepared to pay over £50million to get his signing done (TEAMtalk).
Transfer: Report – Man United made move to sign £35million star
If the Italian, the French and the English champions are really interested in the 22-year-old Les Bleus star, then I think that he would cost way more than £50million.
Back in March, Metro exclusively revealed that the Ligue 1 club want around £80million if their prized asset is sold.
Ndombele is a versatile talent, who naturally plays in the central midfield but can effectively play in the defensive midfield role as well. Last season, he scored 2 goals in 8 Champions League games and provided 7 assists in 33 league outings.
At the moment, Matic is our first choice holding midfield star and record signing Pogba is the team’s main creative midfielder. So, it is baffling that Solskjaer would let both leave and therefore, I find the rumor quite unbelievable.
We should keep the duo and further improve the midfield and I think Ndombele would largely enhance the quality of the department.
Sell Matic, keep Pogba and get Ndombele…. Matic is old and slow…. For a holding midfielder…. He has overstayed his time.
