The upcoming transfer window will prove to be extremely crucial for both Manchester United and Ruben Amorim and could make or break this club’s future. The Old Trafford outfit are not used to facing so many seasons of mediocrity and tough decisions will have to be made if the club can’t turn it around early next season.
Now, as per Spanish source, Fichajes, Man Utd are prepared to offer £51.5million to sign versatile Real Madrid youngster Arda Guler.
The Turkish attacking midfielder, who can also play as a right-winger or even through the middle is a player with an extremely high ceiling and it would make sense for the Red Devils to sign him.
Spearhead of the project?
With the number of superstars present in the Real Madrid squad at the moment like Kylian Mbappe, Rodrygo, Vinicus Jr. and Jude Bellingham, Guler doesn’t get much game time in the Spanish capital.
Despite almost always impressing whenever given the chance, the Turkish international is struggling to break into the starting XI.
Whenever he plays for Turkey, one sees the immense potential that Guler possesses and he deserves to be playing at a club where he is a regular starter week in and week out. Ruben Amorim is looking to build a new, young project at Old Trafford and should the club be able to sign the Real Madrid player, he could emerge as the leader of the project.
In Ruben Amorim’s 3-4-3 system that he has been using at Man Utd since his arrival, Guler is capable of occupying any one of the front three roles, although he might perform best coming off from the right side of attack and cutting in onto his favored left foot.
It will not be an easy signing and convincing Guler to leave Real Madrid would be a challenge but it must be said that should they be able to pull this off, this signing has the potential to transform the entire next decade of the club.
It remains to be seen if Man Utd make a concrete effort to sign the Turkish international in the months to come.
