Manchester United are once again linked with Goncalo Ramos and reports suggest they are prepared to start talks to sign him.
According to The Mirror, the Red Devils are set to initiate contact and plot a record bid to hire the services of the Benfica center forward.
The renowned British news source have mentioned that a deal in the region of £70m-£100m is set to be discussed between the clubs.
Last month, Football Insider revealed a fee of £70million should be enough to sign the Portuguese international from the Eagles.
Man Utd badly need a proven quality out and out striker and Ramos has been the best forward in Portugal. He is currently the leading goal scorer (joint) in the Liga Nos with 17 goals.
Overall, in all competitions, the Seleccao forward has made 44 appearances for Benfica, netted 25 goals and also provided 11 assists thus far this season.
Ramos still has more than three years left on his contract with the Lisbon-based club and it has a huge release clause of 120 million euros (JN).
For the senior national side, so far in 2 starts, he has netted 4 goals. Not to forget, he scored a sublime hat-trick against Switzerland at the FIFA World Cup last year.
Man Utd are also linked with strikers like Kolo Muani, Victor Osimhen and Harry Kane. In your opinion, who would be the best option to reinforce the strike-force at Old Trafford?
