Manchester United are reportedly interested in a highly rated Brazilian international in the form of David Nerres.

According to an exclusive report covered by The Sun, the Red Devils are preparing to go head-to-head with rivals Arsenal to hire the services of the Ajax playmaker, who is valued at £45million.

The British source have mentioned that Everton and Chelsea are also interested in the Samba attacker. It must be remembered that the Stamford Bridge club are currently suspended from signing players in the next two transfer windows (The Guardian).

In the current squad, I think Martial is the only winger, who deserves to be in the starting XI next season. He was brilliant under Mourinho and has excelled under Solskjaer as well.

On the other hand, Alexis Sanchez has been a huge flop since moving to United from Arsenal last season. Juan Mata is clearly past his best and Jesse Lingard has been inconsistent.

So, the Old Trafford club clearly lack quality and depth in the wide-attacking positions and they must splash the cash to strengthen the department in the summer.

As far as Nerres is concerned, the Eredivisie star has been in top form for Ajax in the current campaign. In all competitions, so far, he has made 46 appearances for the Dutch side, scored 12 goals and provided 15 assists.

The 22-year-old South American scored vs Real Madrid in the Round of 16 of the Champions League and also netted against Juventus at home in the last eight. He was also impressive in Turin last night as Ajax deservedly booked their place in the semis.

In my view, United do need a winger like Nerres, who could serve the club in the long run. In your opinion, should Solskjaer splash the cash to hire his services?
