Manchester United have begun life under Ruben Amorim and this weekend would be the first time that Portuguese tactician takes to the touchline as the new Red Devils manager.
By what he has been doing in training, one thing is certainly obvious – Amorim is likely to set Manchester United up in the 3-4-3 formation that served him very well during his successful stint at Sporting CP.

It also tells Manchester United one major thing. Amorim is unlikely to be the manager who compromises on his principles. Thus, he might try to get the Red Devils to play a similar brand of football to the one that Sporting played.
Now, as per Spanish source, Fichajes, Man Utd are pressing to close the deal to sign talented Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres who has been in sensational form this season. Clubs like Barcelona are interested in him but the Red Devils are hoping to use the Ruben Amorim factor.
Amorim knows the red hot goalscorer very well and is the manager who transformed his career and made him one of the best strikers in the world. The Swedish international is said to be available for around £63million next summer.
The current strikers at Man Utd might be younger than Viktor Gyokeres but don’t offer the same kind of impact that he does. Both Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee are extremely erratic in front of the goal.
Thus, it remains to be seen if the Old Trafford outfit can pip other interested clubs to his signature. It would be a coup if they can pull it off and let’s wait and see how things play out.
I will be in cloud nine if this deal goes through. Gyokeres is a complete striker and would serve as mentor to Hojlund.
