Man Utd press to secure £50m signing – Plans in place to solve conundrum – Report

Branthwaite England

Man Utd have plans in place to solve the defensive conundrum at Old Trafford and the priority is signing Jarrad Branthwaite.

According to an exclusive story covered by GiveMeSport, the Red Devils are looking at multiple options to reinforce the backline.

Transfer: £40million star confirms ‘discussion’ over joining Manchester United

Man Utd press to secure the signing of top target, Branthwaite, for a fee of £50m but if Everton turn the offer down, then they have other plans in place to improve the defense.

The 20-time English champions also have the likes of Marc Guehi of Crystal Palace and Max Kilman of Wolverhampton on their radar.

Branthwaite was top class for the Toffees in the recently concluded Premier League campaign and deservedly earned a place in the England squad for the European Championships.

Guehi has made it to the Euro 2024 team as well but not Kilman.

The Eagles star is valued at around £60m, on the other hand, the Molineux outfit value their skipper at £50m.

Earlier this month, The Mail reported that Everton, who earned 15th place in the PL even after the deduction of points, want a fee of around £80m to sell Branthwaite.

GMS claim United have budgeted an amount of around £60m to reinforce the defense after a dismal Premier League campaign that saw them concede 58 times.

So, Branthwaite would be out of Man Utd’s budget if the Merseysiders do not budge from their high asking price.

In your view, who should the Red Devils sign to solve the defensive conundrum once and for all?
