Manchester United have been heavily linked with Denzel Dumfries for a long time and they are pressing to finally sign him in the summer transfer window.
Last month, United made contact with the Dutch star’s agent in order to complete the signing before deadline but failed.
Now, according to a story covered by La Gazzetta Dello Sport at the weekend (news image provided below), the Old Trafford outfit have intensified contacts to lure the player in the summer.
The famous news source have reported that Man United and Chelsea are pressing to sign Dumfries, who could end up leaving Inter Milan in the next transfer window.
The 26-year-old right back, who can also play in the attack, will be out of contract in 2025 and GdS claim that the Nerazzurri want 50 million euros from his sale (£44.3million).
Dumfries directly contributed in 10 goals in the last Serie A campaign and impressed for the national side at the FIFA World Cup last year.
However, this term, his form for Inter has been average and lately, he has warmed the bench under Simone Inzaghi, who has preferred Darmian in the right wingback role.
At Old Trafford, Dalot impressed in the first half of the campaign and after the World Cup, Wan-Bissaka has been brilliant in the RB role. Therefore, Ten Hag really does not need to splash the cash on a new right back in the summer.
In your opinion, should Man Utd bid £44.3million to finally sign Denzel Dumfries?
