Man Utd have a Big Chance to Sign £27m ‘Fabulous’ Tackler

Manchester United have been offered the opportunity to finalise a deal to bring Serge Aurier from Parc des Princes. The Ivory Coast international is free to leave Paris Saint-Germain this summer with the French club having pursued the services of Dani Alves on a free transfer.

According to The Telegraph, both United and Chelsea are interested in the former Toulouse man, who wants his way out of the French capital. The 24-year-old had shared his duties alongside Thomas Meunier last season but the arrival of Alves has urged him to seek fresh pastures.

The Red Devils were first linked with a move for Aurier earlier last month, but the speculation was quickly dismissed by Sky Sports News, who claimed that United hold no interest in the right-back.

Despite this, United appear still in the hunt for the right-sided defender, who could be seen as an ideal competitor to Antonio Valencia. The Ecuador international recently extended his contract until 2019, and Aurier will have to play second fiddle to the 32-year-old, nevertheless, should he arrive at Old Trafford.

Paris Saint-Germain are currently demanding a sum of around £27m to offload Aurier, but they are still some restrictions to the deal with the Ivorian still appealing his assault conviction in France.

Aurier had his visa revoked last year prior to a Champions League game at Arsenal, and he has since been banned from travelling to the United Kingdom until he clears his criminal charges.
