Report – Man Utd ready to advance move to sign £40million star for cheap

Manchester United look set to keep going big in subsequent transfer windows despite just having spent huge money to make five signings this summer.

To be fair, they also sold a number of players but Erik ten Hag is being backed heavily by the board.

Sadly for the club, however, the Dutch coach is yet to repay the leadership group’s faith in him with the club managing just three wins in their first nine games across all competitions this season. This included a thrashing at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur last weekend.

Even their wins have been largely underwhelming. A narrow 1-0 win against Fulham, a 3-0 win against newly promoted Southampton and a 7-0 win against lower league side Barnsley do not necessarily make for good reading.

Despite their on-pitch frailties, they continue to be linked with transfer for the subsequent windows. As per Give Me Sport, Man Utd are looking to beat Liverpool to the signing of Fulham star Antonee Robinson.

Fulham value the player at around £40m but the Red Devils are looking to get him on the cheap as they are not willing to match the London club’s demands.

Should Man Utd sign Antonee Robinson?

The 27-year-old would surely be enthralled by a move to a big Premier League club.

The left-back has been a position of concern for Manchester United in recent seasons. Luke Shaw, for all his talent and ability, has been struggling to remain fit for around 18 months now and there seems to be no end to his injury problems.

Tyrell Malacia is a mysterious absence as he continues to battle with recovery from his injury. As good as Dalot has been, he isn’t naturally left-footed which is hampering Ten Hag’s attack on the left side.

Antonee Robinson would be a good fix for Man Utd for both the present and the future and let’s see if the club can sign him in the windows to come.
