If reports in the media are anything to go by then it seems that Erling Haaland is Manchester United’s priority target to reinforce their strike-force.
Few days back, MEN reported that Ralf Rangnick is pressing hard to convince the player to move to Old Trafford.
Transfer: Man Utd intent on signing £196,000-a-week playmaker – Report
More recently, Bild have covered a story and stated that Man Utd are ready to agree the fee to sign the Norwegian international from Dortmund.
The German media outlet have claimed that Haaland has a release clause worth 75 million euros in his contract that can be activated in summer and the Red Devils are prepared to pay that sum to get his signing done.
Currently, the former RB Salzburg striker is earning a salary (The Mail) of £6.8million a year (£130,000 a week). Bild claim that Dortmund intend to extend the player’s stay by offering a deal that will make him earn 16 million euros a year (£260,000 a week).
So, BvB are prepared to double the wages to hold on to their prized asset. It will be intriguing to see how much Man Utd will offer to persuade him to join.
Apart from the German Cup, the 21-year-old striker has not won any title in Germany and he would be looking to sign for a club, who would be able to compete for the biggest of trophies.
In your view, can Man Utd convince Erling Haaland to sign for them?
Simple, NO – Manchester United have been ruined by players whose only goal was to be paid vast amounts of money for doing nothing, Pogba, Martial are classic cases of this, Rashford is fast approaching this… Haaland would be worth the money, but why go to a club that has lost the ability to win.
