Man Utd have already tabled a five year deal to Matthijs de Ligt and the latest reports indicate they are ready to agree a contract under £50.8m to secure his signing.
According to The Mail, the Dutch international is keen on securing a move to Old Trafford to reunite with former Ajax boss, Erik ten Hag.

The British media outlet have mentioned that Man Utd are ready to offer a five year deal to De Ligt if they are able to agree a fee with the Bavarians.
As per fussball.news, the 24-year-old is even willing to take a pay cut to join the Red Devils. Currently, he is taking home around 15 million euros per season.
However, the 20-time English champions want to pay the player under 12 million euros a season i.e. less than a million euros a month.
Therefore, Man Utd are ready to agree a contract with De Ligt that will make him earn under £50.8m (60 million euros) in the next five years.
As far as the asking fee is concerned, The Mail and fussball.news claim that Bayern Munich want around £42m for the former Serie A defender.
On the other hand, The Mirror revealed the record Bundesliga champions value the Netherlands international at £55m.
Yesterday, the Oranje defeated Romania 3-0 to book a place in the quarter finals of the European Championships and they will face Turkey on Saturday.
However, De Ligt is yet to make an appearance in the competition. Do you think he is the right choice to replace Varane at Man Utd?
Man Utd should avoid making the mistake of signing another injury prone player. They should make more efforts to bring in Braithwaite rather than De Ligt. The case of Mason Mount should serve as a big lesson.
