Manchester United are consistently linked with Sergej Milinkoic-Savic who could end up leaving Lazio after seven years.

As per a report covered by Corriere dello Sport (via Sport Witness), Man Utd are ready to attack to sign the Serbian international in the next transfer window.

Transfer: Man Utd lead to secure signing of £33million winger – Report

The Italian media outlet have mentioned that agent, Mateja Kezman, is in a rush. In the next 15-20 days, the former Chelsea striker will have appointments with suitors and within a month, he will bring the offers to Lazio president Claudio Lotito.

As far as the worth of the midfielder is concerned, CdS have mentioned that there are claims of 100 million euros but it is more likely that his valuation could be around 80 million euros (£66million).

Regarding Man Utd’s interest, it is stated that the 20-time English champions want Milinkovic-Savic in order to replace Paul Pogba, who will be out of contract in the summer.

The French international was booed off the field by the Old Trafford faithful after yesterday’s Premier League victory over Norwich City.

Milinkovic-Savic has arguably been the best central midfielder in the Serie A this season. In 31 league starts thus far, he has directly contributed in 19 goals (9 goals and 10 assists).

Yesterday, in the league contest against Torino, the former Genk man set up the vital goal in injury time to help Lazio earn a point.

In your opinion, is the £66million-rated Serbian star good enough to replace Pogba at Man Utd?

  1. absolutely worth it. Ten Hag likes to have an abundance of young, hungry potential stars balance with a group of seasoned professionals to help the club develop the young potentials. It’s 80% young, 20% seasoned pros. Sergej Milinkoic-Savic straddles those two groups. He’s seasoned enough to help direct the young players and yet has enough years under his belt to be a seasoned “young” professional at the age of 27 yet is old enough to help direct the really young promising “out of the academy”
    players.
