Manchester United are linked with numerous players ahead of the January transfer window and one of them is Yves Bissouma.
The Brighton star is on the radar of several clubs and latest reports indicate that the Red Devils have joined the race to hire his services.
Transfer: Man United have made contact to sign £27million attacker in January – Report
Couple of days back, journalist Jonathan Shrager claimed to have contacted Bissouma’s agent, who revealed that the Old Trafford outfit and the likes of Liverpool, Monaco and Arsenal have significant interest in luring the Mali international.
Yesterday, The Sunday Express also reported that Man United, who could lose Pogba, are ready to battle the Reds and the Gunners to secure the signature of the 24-year-old midfielder.
Bissouma is naturally a central midfielder but this season, he has mainly played effectively in the defensive midfield for the Seagulls.
At Old Trafford, United have ample quality and depth in the center of the park with stars like Pogba, Fred, Matic and McTominay around. However, it must be taken into consideration that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s needs a rock solid holding midfielder.
Serbian international Matic will turn 33 next year and his best days are long gone. We have invested a lot to reinforce the defense but still things have not improved much at the back because we lack a top class play breaker.
In such a scenario, a defensive midfielder should be lured in the winter transfer window and Bissouma, who has been in top form for Brighton so far, could be a great addtion.
The African star’s current deal with the Falmer Stadium outfit will expire in 2023 and as per reports, he could cost around £30million (ESPN). In your view, should Man Utd move to secure his signing next month?
