Man Utd ready to bid £96million to sign star – Report

Rice and Sancho for England

West Ham United star, Declan Rice, is arguably one of the best midfielders in the Premier League and he has been linked with a move away from the London club for quite some time.

Earlier this month, The Sun revealed that the Red Devils have got the approval from Rangnick and they could move in to sign the England international in the summer.

Transfer: Man United prepared to pay big to sign £67million star – Report

More recently, El Nacional have covered a story and stated that the Old Trafford outfit’s record signing, Paul Pogba, who joined from Juve for 120 million euros, is set to leave the club again on a free transfer.

In order to replace the French international, the 20-time English champions would break the bank to sign Rice. It is stated that Man Utd are ready to bid £96million (115 million euros) to bring the Hammers player to the club.

In all fairness, the 22-year-old midfielder would not be a direct replacement for the Les Bleus star. Rice is mainly a play breaker, who likes to provide cover in front of the back-line. On the other hand, Pogba is a creative, attack minded midfielder.

The World Champion has spent a lot of time on the treatment table in the last two years and therefore, fans should not really mind if he is offloaded.

El Nacional claim that Rice wants to move in his career to win trophies and play in the UEFA Champions League. He can play in the Europe’s prime tournament this season if he opts to leave West Ham this month.

Man Utd have been average this term and are currently two places below the Hammers. Harry Redknapp thinks that they are at least a couple of seasons away from challenging for the title. In such a situation, do you think United can tempt Declan Rice to join?
