Liverpool have been heavily linked with Luis Diaz and few days back, we did cover a report stating that the Reds are close to signing him.
However, the latest reports going on in the media suggest that Manchester United are serious and they are prepared to pay big to sign the Colombian international from FC Porto.
According to A Bola (press image provided below), Man Utd are willing to open their purse and splash the cash to hire the services of the 24-year-old winger.
The famous Portuguese news source have mentioned that the Primeira Liga side would want to hold on to their prized asset until the end of the campaign but they cannot keep the player if the £67million release clause is met.
Two days back, Diaz scored a goal and set up another to help his team earn all three points after going 2-0 down against Estoril. In all competitions, thus far, the South American left-winger has started 23 games in all competitions and directly contributed in 21 goals (15 goals and 6 assists).
Last summer, he scored 4 goals in as many starts for Colombia in the Copa America and helped his nation earn third place. He was the joint top scorer alongside the Player of the Tournament, Lionel Messi.
In the current squad, Man Utd have stars like Sancho, Rashford, Martial, Lingard and even Ronaldo, who can play on the left flank. Therefore, I do not think that we need to add another left-winger in the form of Luis Diaz.
In your opinion, who should the Red Devils sign to reinforce the squad in this winter transfer window?
