Manchester United have been looking to sign Christian Eriksen for some time and lately, there have been several twists in the transfer saga as per reports going on in the media.

Last month, The Telegraph exclusively revealed that the Red Devils are prepared to wait for the summer transfer window to sign the Danish international for free.

Transfer: Man Utd have moved in to sign £318,000-a-week star in summer – Face competition

More recently, FC Inter News have exclusively reported that Inter Milan are in pole position to hire the services of the Tottenham playmaker in the summer and the Nerazzurri have offered him a deal worth 10 million euros a season (£164,000-a-week).

However, the Italian source have claimed that Spurs are looking to immediately sell their prized asset in order to get some cash from his sale and in such a scenario, Man Utd are ready to pay £20million to get his signing done this month.

The 27-year-old is a proven quality star who earns a very low salary of just £80,000-a-week (The Mirror) and surely deserves to earn way more.

He has won the Danish Football Player of the Year title on no fewer than four occasions and over the years, the former Ajax star has been highly impressive for the north London club. He made it into the PFA Team of the Year in 2017-18 and helped his team reach the Champions League final last term.

Man Utd do lack quality and depth in their attacking third and someone like Eriksen would largely improve Solskjaer’s team. Unfortunately, signing the playmaker would probably be very hard because the competition is tough.

Inter Milan are currently on top of the Serie A table, on the other hand, Man United are struggling in the Premier League and based on their current form, the Old Trafford club might end up failing to finish in the top four again.

In your view, should Man Utd splash the cash to sign Christian Eriksen in the winter transfer window?
