Man Utd ready to spend big to sign £100m attacker & £85m forward – Report

Haaland and Sancho

Manchester United have been linked with Erling Haaland and Jadon Sancho for quite some time and the latest reports seem very positive for the Red Devils.

Few days back, Dagbladet reported that the Old Trafford club are leading the race to sign the Norwegiann center forward Haaland, who could leave the club in the winter transfer window.

Moreover, Bleacher Report claimed that the 20-time English champions have held talks to secure an end of the season deal for English winger Sancho.

Transfer: Man Utd readying £43million move to sign player in January – Face competition

More recently, Goal.com have revealed that Man Utd are ready to spend big to secure the above mentioned duo in January.

It is mentioned that United were looking to sign West Ham midfielder Declan Rice but they could pursue his signature in summer in order to agree deals for the Salzburg striker and the Dortmund attacker.

Furthermore, Goal have claimed that Sancho could cost around £100m and a deal for Haaland, which would allow him to spend the remainder of the season on loan with the Austrian club, could cost around £85m.

United offloaded Romelu Lukaku, who was the leading goalscorer at Old Trafford in the last two campaigns, in the summer and did not replace him. So, they surely need to sign a striker and Haaland, who has netted 26 goals in just 18 appearances this season (7 Champions League goals), fits the bill.

My only concern is that we need the 19-year-old forward right now and should bring him here in the winter transfer window instead of waiting for the summer.

On the other hand, Man Utd also let Alexis Sanchez leave in the summer and did not sign any proven quality star to replace him. Sancho had a fantastic debut campaign in the Bundesliga last term and he has been in impressive form this season as well (12 goals / assists in 16 appearances).

The 19-year-old Three Lions star can effectively play on either flank and has what it takes to largely improve our attack.
