Man Utd ready to welcome £82million forward – Move close

Paulo Dybala

Manchester United are heavily linked with Argentine star Paulo Dybala and the latest reports seem positive.

Few days back, Tutto Sport reported that the Red Devils have offered Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku to Juve in order to hire the services of Argentine forward Paulo Dybala.

Now, It seems that things have progressed nicely.

Transfer: Man Utd agree fee to secure £60million+ signing – Report

Yesterday, The Mail claimed that Dybala is closing in on moving to Old Trafford and Lukaku is set to go in the opposite direction in an exchange deal to sign for The Old Lady.

On the other hand, earlier in the day, Goal.com reported that Man Utd are ready to welcome the former Palermo star, who is valued at around 90 million euros (£82million) by the Italian champions.

As far as the personal terms are concerned, as per The Mail, the 25-year-old star has told the Red Devils that he wants to earn £9million-a-year after tax at Old Trafford. Similarly, Goal.com have claimed that he has requested an annual net salary of over 10 million euros (£9million-a-year) and United are prepared to meet his demands.

Dybala can play in multiple attacking roles but mainly, he is a secondary striker. At United, Solskjaer has neither got a natural secondary forward nor a quality central attacking midfielder to effectively deploy behind the main center forward.

So, the Argentine forward, who is a proven quality player, should be lured before the transfer window closes this month. In the last campaign, Dybala scored 10 goals and provided 5 assists in 32 starts in all competitions for the Bianconeri.

Pogba and Dybala excelled together at Juventus and let’s hope we can hold on to our record signing and see the duo light up Old Trafford next season. If the La Albiceleste star does end up signing for Man Utd, then he should be deployed right behind Rashford in the starting XI.
