Manchester United have shown signs of improvement in the past few games and now, they have a serious chance to qualify for the next season’s Champions League.

In the summer, the Red Devils must splash the cash to reinforce their squad and the attacking department should be improved.

Transfer: Man Utd have made contact to sign £34million midfielder – Report

The Old Trafford club added a striker by signing Ighalo in January but the Nigerian is here for the short term and Solskjaer should move to sign a proven quality goal-scorer to finally replace Romelu Lukaku in the next transfer window.

On the other hand, we still have not really replaced Alexis Sanchez as yet and therefore, a left winger must be lured as well.

If reports in the media are anything to go by then the 20-time English champions are linked with a versatile Portuguese international. According to The Express, Man Utd are set to launch a move worth £50million to secure the signing of Diogo Jota in the summer.

The 23-year-old is mainly a left winger, who can effectively play as a secondary striker and also as an out and out center forward if needed. Last season, he mainly played in the striker’s position and scored 10 goals in all competitions.

In the current campaign, the Wolves attacker has mainly played on the left flank and in 29 starts, he has directly contributed in 19 goals (14 goals and 5 assists) under the management of Nuno Espirito Santo.

Jota made his senior international debut back in November last year and so far, he has made two appearances for the Seleccao.

The former Porto man has netted two hat-tricks in his last two outings in this season’s Europa League. Last week, in the first leg of the Round of 32 tie, he scored three goals vs Espanyol and at the weekend, the playmaker netted a brace vs Norwich in the Premier League.

In your view, is Diogo Jota good enough to improve Solskjaer’s attacking department? Should Man Utd splash £50million to secure his signing from Wolves?

  1. His record to date seem like the perfect mid-fielder come striker that we really need.
