Manchester United would have been buoyed by the performance of Rasmus Hojlund in the game against Bodo/Glimt. The striker position has been an Achilles heel for the club in recent times but the Dane offered a lot of promise.

News – Man Utd expected to submit formal offer to secure signing for Amorim – Report
Hojlund, since his move from Atalanta, has shown flashes of brilliance but his body has let him down and prevented him from getting a regular run out in the team. However, he has at least shown signs of knowing where the back of the net is.
Despite this, the likes of Joshua Zirkzee have flattered to deceive so far. The Dutch striker, since making the transfer from Bologna to Old Trafford, has struggled to find form, and is not making the right runs in most games.
Thus, it would be understandable if Man Utd turned towards the transfer market and as per Area Napoli, the Red Devils have set their sights on estranged striker Victor Osimhen and are willing to offer the Dutchman in exchange.
Manchester United are ready to offer £33.2m plus Zirkzee in a deal for the Nigerian striker who is out of favour with Napoli and currently on loan at Galatasaray. The Red Devils signed the Dutch striker from Bologna for around £36.5m in the summer.
Thus, this would take the overall deal value to around £69.7million. Napoli are desperate to get rid of Osimhen and already have Romelu Lukaku in the ranks. Signing Zirkzee as a backup could be viewed as a win-win for all parties involved.
As good as Victor Osimhen can be though, he is likely to command a huge wage and it remains to be seen if Man Utd are willing to open out their cheque books to sign him. Let’s wait and see how things pan out.
