Manchester United need to reinforce their squad in the summer transfer window and they must also hold on to the key stars they have in the current squad.

If reports in the media are anything to go by then Marcus Rashford is linked with top clubs like Barcelona and Real Madrid and he is looking to get a mammoth new deal to stay at Old Trafford.

According to an exclusive report covered by The Sun, the Premier League club may be forced to pay the 21-year-old striker £350,000-a-week to keep him away from the above mentioned Spanish giants.

Transfer: Report – Man Utd clear to secure signing of £50million attacker

The British source have revealed that the England international wants to stay at Old Trafford but he is holding out for a huge four-year contract that will make him earn £350,000-a-week (£72.8million until 2023).

In the last campaign, the Three Lions star featured in 47 games in all competitions and directly contributed in 22 goals (13 goals and 9 assists) for United

Rashford is one of our main center forwards and Solskjaer must secure a new contract with him, especially when Belgian international Romelu Lukaku is heavily linked with a move to Italian giants Inter Milan (Corriere dello Sport).

At the same time, the Norwegian manager must also ensure that he does not break United’s pay structure to satisfy Rashford because it would disrupt the dressing room environment.

The youngster’s current contract at Old Trafford will expire next year and right now, he is only earning £45,000-a-week (The Express).

In your view, does Rashford deserve to get a new deal worth almost eight times more than his current salary?

  1. At the age of 21 Rashford does not deserve such amounts of money now Woodward don’t repeat the same mistake of Alexis

  2. There is no way Rashfords’s performances warrant a pay rise to 350k per week. He still cannot play up front on his own and can not hold tbe ball up. It will cause a rod for Uniteds back if they pay it. If he continues in the same way as last season they will ha e a queue of players knocking at the door wanting parity.

  3. Greedy Rashford… Get rid of him. Ten PL goals this season. Should have scored 20 at least. Poor finisher. Get rid of him instead of Lukaku.

  4. Yes he deserves. We (m.u) a even lucky that he is willing to stay otherwise he would have looked for a better club. Unless u don’t see the future by the way even current impact of him, don’t pay him that much. So, let be given the new contract and give him the money. Lukaku is the person that killed our team last season plus the authority of m.u bse we relied on him as the key striker but think of how many clear chances he missed to score. How much did Sanchez swallow and what did he do compared to Rashfold.

  5. Nope he doesn’t. The only player worth £350,000 a week is maybe De Gea and I’d still rather sell him. He does deserve a new contract but on wages level with the rest of the squad

  6. Don’t think any of or players performed well enough to justify a big pay rise , think they should take a good look at their performances and realise that they need to work a lot harder for us next season

  7. I think what the management have to do is to look for players with heart to play for the club not people who are interested in money only. the like of pogba alexis and others

  8. NO. Rashford deserves a new contract in line with the higher earners (exception being Sanchez of course) but £350 pw is way over the top. Would sooner let him go.
