Manchester United are consistently linked with central defenders and the name of Sergio Ramos is in the lime light.
The Spanish international has confirmed his departure from Real Madrid after winning every major trophy with them. So, it is not surprising that top clubs want to hire his services.
Transfer: £51.5m star pressing to agree move as Man United offer £35,000-a-week more
The £206,000 a week star (AS), whose current deal with the Los Blancos will expire at the end of this month, is a wanted man in the transfer martket.
According to today’s version of AS (press image provided below), Man Utd have submitted a contract offer to sign the Spanish legend but they face competition from the likes of French giants Paris Saint-Germain and Premier League champions Manchester City.
The famous news source have claimed that Ramos’ preference is to join PSG for two reasons. One, the Ligue 1 club are offering more money than the English sides and two, he would like to live in Paris.
AS have further pointed out that between the two PL sides, the veteran center back has a preference of joining the Red Devils because they have a rich history, something that the Sky Blues do not have.
Ramos has been one of the most consistent center halves of the past decade and he is still one of the best defenders around. He led Real Madrid to the La Liga title in the 2019-20 campaign but was mostly on the treatment table last term. Would you like Man Utd to secure his signature?
