Manchester United are once again linked with French international and Barcelona star, Ousmane Dembele, who will be out of contract next summer.

Last year, the Red Devils moved in to lure the playmaker on loan with an option to buy but the Les Bleus star rejected the deal and played the season with the Catalan giants (Sport).

Transfer: Man Utd prepared £25.6million offer in summer, could return to finally sign star – Report

Now, as per a recent report covered by Mundo Deportivo (press image provided below), Barca president, Joan Laporta, is optimistic that he will be able to agree fresh terms with the 24-year-old attacker.

However, the Spanish news source have mentioned that the World Cup winning star has lucrative, tempting offers on the table from Manchester United and Juventus.

It is further stated that Dembele’s agent is currently delaying the negotiations to extend the deal. The closer the player will be to the end of the contract, the more difficult it will be to retain him because he can sign a huge signing on bonus by moving to a new club on a bosman.

At the moment, the 27-capped international is earning a salary of around £215,000-a-week (The Sun). He should be able to earn way more if he moves for free next summer.

The former Rennes man can play on either flank, as a CAM and even as a center forward. He mainly played in the No. 10 role for Dortmund and directly contributed in 32 goals In 50 appearances before joining the Nou Camp outfit in 2018.

Since then, he has mostly been on the treatment table. Currently, he is recovering from a knee injury and has not made a single appearance for the Catalan giants this season. In your view, should Man Utd agree lucrative terms to sign Ousmane Dembele?
