Now, as per a recent report published by FT, Man Utd moved in with an audacious offer to sign the 19-year-old from the Seagulls on loan.

Chelsea also tried with a loan bid but the Amex outfit turned it down and have made it clear they want a straight cash deal to sell their prized asset.

Ferguson started the season in a brilliant manner with a goal on the opening day against Luton. Three weeks later, he netted a sublime hat-trick against Newcastle United.

However, his form dipped, he has not scored in the PL since November and has started on the bench in the last three league games. Perhaps that is why Man Utd tried their luck to have him on loan.

As per the news source, United could secure the signing of the teenage sensation in the summer and they may have the edge over Chelsea as the Blues’ primary striker target is Nigerian international and Napoli star, Victor Osimhen.

Overall, the 8-capped forward has netted 6 goals in 11 PL starts for Brighton this term. In contrast, Ten Hag’s main CF, Hojlund, has only scored 2 goals in 13 starts

In your opinion, is Evan Ferguson really worth £100m and should Man Utd sign him?

  1. NO. They already have a promising forward for the future, it’s an experienced striker that he needs to learn from.
