Manchester United have mainly wasted time in the winter transfer window and have signed no one to reinforce the squad this month.
However, the Red Devils are still linked with quality players and it will be intriguing to see if they will be able to lure someone before the end of today’s transfer deadline.
Transfer: From Italy – Man Utd have the edge to secure signing – He demands £150,000-a-week
The Old Trafford outfit have been heavily linked with Ousmane Dembele and renowned journalist, Pedro Almedia, has claimed that Man Utd have submitted an official bid worth 20 million euros (£16.7million).
Almeida was one of the first transfer experts to reveal Liverpool’s interest in Luis Diaz, who eventually completed his move to the Anfield club yesterday.
Dembele will be out of contract in 6 months and a couple of weeks back, renowned Spanish source, Sport, reported that Barca are prepared to sell the 24-year-old playmaker for £16.7million.
So, if words of the Portuguese journalist and Sport are to be believed then Man Utd have met the asking price to hire the services of the former Borussia Dortmund winger.
The 27-capped international has spent majority of his time out injured this term and in 6 starts (all competitions), he has so far scored a goal and provided 2 assists for the Catalan giants.
Mason Greenwood has been our best winger this season but with all the controversies surrounding him, it is not sure that he will be available. In such a situation, should Man Utd secure the signing of Ousmane Dembele before tonight’s deadline?
