Inter Milan Lautaro Martinez vs Barcelona

Manchester United need a young center forward to replace the likes of Edinson Cavani and Cristiano Ronaldo at Old Trafford.

If reports in the media are anything to go by then the Reds Devils have moved in with a swap offer to sign Inter Milan star, Lautaro Martinez.

Transfer: Ten Hag backed by Man Utd to sign £75million star – Report

According to Marco Barzaghi (Youtube), Man Utd have offered 50 million euros and Anthony Martial in order to lure the Argentine international from the Serie A side this summer.

However, the Italian journalist has claimed that the Nerazzurri are not interested in an exchange deal and would prefer only cash.

Last month, Tutto Mercato Web reported that due to budgetary constraints, Martinez could be offloaded in the summer transfer window if an offer of around 80 million euros arrives (£67million).

The 24-year-old is one of the top strikers in the Italian league. He was a key member of Conte’s side that won the Scudetto in the last campaign. This season, so far, in 25 league starts, he has scored 17 goals and provided 3 assists under the management of Inzaghi.

Yesterday, the South American forward scored the decisive goal to earn all three points against Udinese. With just three games remaining (Serie A), Inter are in 2nd place, 2 points behind league leaders and rivals, AC Milan.

For the senior national side, Martinez has made 37 appearances thus far and scored 19 goals. Last year, he netted 3 goals in Argentina’s Copa America winning campaign.

Anthony Martial started just 2 games in the Premier League this season before he was loaned out to Spanish side, Sevilla. Do you think he still has a future at Old Trafford? Should Man Utd secure the signing of Lautaro Martinez?
