Manchester United have been linked with England international and Atletico Madrid star for a long time and the transfer saga has now taken a twist.
According to reports going on in the media, the Red Devils have ended their interest in luring the Three Lions right back and Diogo Dalot is expected to cover for Wan-Bissaka next season.
Transfer: Report – Man Utd ready to agree £50million deal to secure £200,000 a week star’s exit
In Spain, Mundo Deportivo have reported that the Rojiblancos have not heard from the Old Trafford outfit for some time.
The news source have mentioned that several weeks ago, Man Utd submitted a bid worth 15 million euros to sign the 30-year-old fullback. However, the offer was turned down by the Wanda Metropolitano outfit, who replied that a fee of 40 million euros (£33.8million) would be required to get the deal done.
Since then, United have not returned, and now, Solskjaer is delighted with Portuguese international, Dalot, who spent last year on loan with Italian side AC Milan.
In the UK, The Daily Express (press image provided below) have reported that Man Utd have ended their interest in the former Spurs defender and are not going to strengthen their squad anymore this summer.
The media outlet have claimed that Ole has been impressed with Dalot’s pre-season form and it must be remembered that he was brilliant (found the net) vs Everton in the last fixture.
In your view, is the young Seleccao starlet good enough to cover for Wan-Bissaka? Should Man Utd meet the £33.8million asking price to sign Trippier from Atletico?
Dalot is good enough to stay this season likewise to Martial
Get rid of Martial as soon as possible! I’ll drop him at the airport with a one-way ticket to anywhere.
Dalot should be trusted and Martial should also stay.
