The famous British news source have mentioned that Erik ten Hag wants to hire the services of the South American center forward.
The Red Devils are not walking away from the deal to lure the 22-year-old star but have made the Eagles aware that the asking price is not realistic and should be lowered.
Nunez was in red hot form for the Liga Nos side in the last campaign. In all competitions, he found the net 34 times and provided 4 assists in just 32 starts.
He was highly impressive in the Champions League. The youngster scored against big teams like Barca, Bayern, and finalists Liverpool. The major dilemma at Old Trafford is that Man Utd cannot offer Champions League football.
At Anfield, he found the net on three occasions with three brilliant finishes, however, twice the linesman intervened to rule out the goals.
Virgil van Dijk, who is one of the best defenders in the world, has claimed that Nunez is one of the toughest strikers he has faced. The former Saints man told Ferdinand (FIVE):
“The name of Haaland, and also Darwin, he’s a bit similar, very direct, quick, tall, strong, and its quite difficult to play against those guys.”
