Manchester United have been linked with Andre Silva for some time and the latest reports suggest that it is very likely he will leave Frankfurt this summer.
Back in February, The Sun exclusively revealed that the Portuguese international has been offered to the Red Devils for a fee of £30million.
Transfer: £100,000-a-week star tempted to sign for Manchester United – Report
Yesterday, Bild covered a story and stated that the performances of the 25-year-old striker have aroused the interest of the Old Trafford outfit.
The German news source have mentioned that Silva, who is likely to leave in the summer transfer window, is a hot property and will only be sold if an offer of 40 million euros arrives (£34.6million).
The Selecao star has been in top class form in the Bundesliga this term. In just 27 league appearances, he has directly contributed in 30 goals (23 goals and 7 assists).
His consistent displays have been the catalyst in Frankfurt’s pursuit of Champions League football. Currently, they occupy the final CL qualification spot (4th), and are just a point behind third place Wolfsburg.
For the senior national side, so far, Silva has made 38 appearances, scored 16 goals and provided 4 assists
At Old Trafford, Solskjaer does need a natural out and out striker, who would be able to serve the club in the years to come. Cavani was lured last summer but he is a short term fix and Martial is not an out and out center forward. In such a scenario, should Man Utd offer £34.6million to sign Andre Silva in the next transfer window?
