Man Utd told £46million would get playmaker signing done – Report

France-Nkunku

If reports in the media are anything to go by then Manchester United are interested in signing RB Leipzig playmaker, Christopher Nkunku.

The French attacker has been in sensational form for the German Bundesliga side and it is not surprising that clubs are looking to hire his services.

Transfer: Man Utd tempted to secure £42million signing of midfielder – Report

According to Sport Bild (via Sport Witness), Man Utd are keen on securing the signature of the former PSG attacking midfielder in the summer transfer window.

The renowned German news source have mentioned that it would take a fee of 55 million euros (£46million) to lure the 24-year-old from the Red Bull Arena outfit.

Nkunku naturally plays in the No. 10 role but he can effectively be deployed on the flanks and even as an out and out center forward if required.

In the current campaign, so far, the playmaker has started 29 games in all competitions and directly contributed in no fewer than 32 goals (19 goals and 13 assists).

He netted a hat-trick against Man City in the opening Champions League group game this term but the English champions ended up winning the contest 6-3.

At Man Utd, we have Bruno Fernandes as the main CAM and there are more than a few quality options in the wide attacking positions. Therefore, in all fairness, we do not need to sign another attacking midfielder.

Instead, central midfield should be reinforced on priority basis in the summer transfer window? What do you think?
