The future of Ousmane Dembele remains up in the air and he is consistently linked with a move to Manchester United.

Sky Sports have reported that the Red Devils are in talks to secure a loan deal for the French forward, on the other hand, reports in Spain indicate that Barcelona want a permanent transfer.

Transfer: £46million star prepared to agree Man United move – Report

According to Sport, if an offer of 60 million euros (£54.6million) arrive, the Catalan giants will opt to offload the Les Bleus attacker, who was mostly on the treatment table in the last campaign.

The 23-year-old star will be out of contract in 2022 and the renowned Spanish source have mentioned that if Barca fail to sell him this summer, it is likely that he will not even go for 20 million euros next year. Why? Because he will likely warm the bench this term.

Sport claim that at the moment, Dembele is the fifth choice attacker at the Nou Camp and will move further down the pecking order once Memphis Depay joins the club.

Therefore, the 5-time European Champions want to sell him for 60 million euros and it is mentioned that Man United could afford him. At the end, it is stated that there is no doubt, if the Old Trafford outfit make an offer of £54.6million, it would be accepted and Dembele would be gifted to the Red Devils.

As far as the current campaign is concerned, in the opening La Liga fixture vs Villareal, the former Borussia Dortmund attacker only featured for 20 minutes as a second half substitute.

On the other hand, in last night’s victory over Celta Vigo, Dutch manager Ronald Koeman did not even use the French international.

In your view, should Man Utd splash the cash to get his signing done?

  1. Shame to the Glazers and Woodward for lack of leadership to the club They have both succeeded in making man u an object of redicule all around europe.at a time the club is struggling to offload deadwood, they still want to acquire more. Barca want to transfer their problems to us. We must say NO! Pay £108 and have Sancho , nothing less

  2. I think anything is better than nothing at this point. Especially after the champions league draw that has us against PSG and Leipzig. A fit Dembele is miles better than Rashford and Martial and would vastly improve our chances of winning a trophy and qualifying for Champions league football. Also getting Telles would make this a successful window for United and getting Dembele doesn’t mean the Sancho deal is done. We can still go for him next year.

  3. The situation re transfers centres around Woodward not appointing a Director of Football. If that position had been filled with someone who has a playing background like Rio Ferdinand then the players we wanted would have been signed up by now. Woodward appears to want to control things, but is clearly still smarting from the duff deals he has been involved in such as Sanchez. We need a winger, a centre back and a left back now so pay the money and get them is my view and get the club some credibility back. This is not the way to start a new premier season having worked so hard to qualify for the Champions league

  4. Why not, dembele could be at Manchester United and have a mind set that this club believes in me and so why not offer my best.so for me dembele is a better signing than Sancho and Barcelona loses a talent.

  5. To start with Anthony Martial is an excellent player but lately he has fitness issues from his last game that he played. He used to hold possession of the ball when he is nearing the goal bit not at the last game. People make mistakes but not as many times as he did this time. He suddenly becomes slack. Good luck to Man.Utd and to Martial.
