Osimhen Nigeria center forward

Manchester United are linked with quality center forwards and the latest name in the lime light is that of Victor Osimhen.

The Nigerian international moved to Italian side Napoli in the summer transfer window last year and this season, he has been in brilliant form.

Transfer: Man Utd could submit bid to finally sign £64million star – Report

According to La Gazzetta Dello Sport (via Calcio Napoli 24), Man Utd are interested in hiring the services of the 22-year-old forward but would have to break their transfer record to get the deal over the line.

Back in 2016, the Red Devils splashed the cash to re-sign Paul Pogba from Juventus in a record deal worth £89million (BBC).

Aurelio de Laurentiis is one of the toughest negotiators to deal with and GdS claim that he would demand a fee of at least 110 million euros (£93million) to sell Napoli’s prized asset, whose current contract will expire in 2025.

The 10-capped international started 16 games in the Serie A last season and netted 10 goals. This time around, the Diego Armanda Maradona Stadium outfit have got a perfect record and sit at the top of the table.

So far, in 6 league appearances, Osimhen has netted 4 goals, on the other hand, in the Europa League, he has found the net 3 times in 2 games (1 start).

Man Utd have to sign a striker for the long term sooner rather than later because Ronaldo and Cavani are not going to be here. In such a scenario, do you think United should break their transfer record to lure £93million-rated Victor Osimhen?
