Man Utd want ideal signing of £46million midfielder to replace star – Report

Verratti

Manchester United’s record signing, Paul Pogba, is expected to leave the club on a bosman in the summer and he must be replaced.

As per reports going on in the media, the Red Devils are looking to sign Italian international, Marco Verratti, to replace the Les Bleus midfielder at Old Trafford.

According to Spanish source, Fichajes, Man Utd want to reinforce things in the center of the park and the Azzurri star has the ideal traits and qualities to replace the former Juventus man.

It is stated that the likes of Inter Milan and AS Roma are also interested in the Paris Saint-Germain player, who is valued at around 55 million euros (£46million).

The 29-year-old is a proven quality midfielder, he has won every major domestic prize multiple times with the French giants and a change is definitely needed.

Verratti was a key member of the Italian side that lifted the European Championships trophy last summer but unfortunately, recently, the 4 time World Champions were defeated by North Macedonia and will not take part in the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

The 49-capped international did take part for the national side at the 2014 World Cup. The question is, is he good enough to improve the midfield at Old Trafford?

It must be remembered that in the past two seasons, Pogba has spent a lot of time on the treatment table. This season, even Verratti has missed a number of games due to consistent injury concerns and he will turn 30 in November.

Therefore, in my view, Man Utd should avoid signing the injury prone Italian and must look for a quality youngster to strengthen the midfield. What do you think?
