As per today’s version of Manchester Evening News (news image provided below), the Old Trafford faithful are eager to see how the investment from Ratcliffe will influence transfer plans.
The news source have mentioned that the top of Man Utd’s list is signing a quality CB, top youngsters are linked and one of them is Edmond Tapsoba.
The Burkina Faso star was linked with the 20-time English champions in the summer transfer window and is valued at around £43million by Bayer Leverkusen.
Tapsoba, 24, has been fantastic for the German side under the guidance of Spanish manager, Xabi Alonso.
After 11 Bundesliga games, Leverkusen are on top of the table, two points ahead of reigning champions, Bayern Munich.
In such a scenario, Alonso, a Liverpool legend, would surely not want to lose his prized asset in the middle of the campaign, especially to Manchester United.
Erik ten Hag needs a leader for the future as the best days of Varane, Lindelof and Maguire are long gone, on the other hand, key CB, Lisandro Martinez is absent due to injury.
In your view, should Man Utd pay £43million to sign Edmond Tapsoba?
