Manchester United have top quality forwards in their squad such as the likes of Portuguese international, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Uruguayan star, Edinson Cavani.
However, taking into consideration that the duo are veterans (36 and 34), the Red Devils need to sign a forward who would serve the club in the long run.

In such a scenario, reports indicate that Man Utd want signing of Benfica star, Darwin Nunez, and it is possible that contact has been made to hire his services.
Few days back, The Daily Star exclusively revealed that Man Utd are interested in luring the Uruguayan international, who could be lured for a fee of £70million, but they face competition from top sides like Liverpool, Bayern, Chelsea and above all, Manchester City.
More recently, in an interview with FC Inter News, Nunez’s agent was asked about the Old Trafford outfit’s interest in his client and he responded:
“Various top-level teams have contacted us, but for the moment the head is in continuing and growing with Benfica and with the Uruguayan selection: this is how important things will come”.
The 22-year-old is naturally a secondary striker, who can effectively play as an out and out center forward as well. In the current campaign, so far, he has netted 6 goals in 8 appearances in all competitions for Benfica. Most notably, he scored a brace vs Barcelona in the latest Champions League contest.
For the senior national side, thus far, the South American youngster has made 4 appearances and scored 2 goals. In your view, should Man Utd spend £70million to sign Darwin Nunez?
