The Catalan news source have mentioned that Man Utd are willing to agree a five-year deal that will make the player earn 18 million euros per season i.e around £292,000 a week.

If the 30-year-old accepts the deal then he will become one of the highest-paid players in the Premier League.

As far as the fee is concerned, it is reported (via Onda Cero) that the Bernabeu outfit would look to get around 70 million euros from the sale of their prized asset.

Ancelotti would like to keep him at the club but the situation can change if the player, who has got the last big deal on the table, decides to join United.

Over the years, Man Utd have spent a lot to sign defenders but things have not improved at the back. They need to lure proven quality play breaker and Casemiro perfectly fits the bill.

In the current squad, Ten Hag does not have any specialist defensive midfielder. The last natural DM they had was Nemanja Matic. The Serbian veteran warmed the bench in the last two campaigns and has recently joined Roma on a free transfer.

Have your say – Should Man Utd break the bank to sign Casemiro?
