Sergio Reguilon Real Madrid

Manchester United have been interested in hiring Sergio Reguilon recently and the latest reports indicate that the Red Devils would be willing to make offers for both Real Madrid and the defender to get the signing done.

As per today’s version of Sport (press image provided below), Man Utd would be ready to offer a transfer fee worth 30 million euros (£27million) to the Los Blancos and a contract worth 5 million euros a year (£87,000-a-week) to the left back in order to secure his signing.

Reguilon has not been able to find a starting role at the Bernabeu and therefore, he spent last season on loan with Sevilla. He played a key role in helping the Andalusian club win the Europa League.

The renowned Spanish news outlet have claimed that Lopetegui’s side are also interested in the 23-year-old defender but Man United are offering better terms and therefore, they could secure his signature.

Not to forget, the Spaniard provided the assist for Sevilla’s opening goal against the Old Trafford club in the semi final of the Europa League.

He made his debut for the senior national side two days back in the UEFA Nations League against Ukraine (4-0) and provided the assist for La Roja’s third goal.

As explained previously on the site, our main left back Luke Shaw has been highly injury prone since moving to the club from Southampton back in 2014. Moreover, going forward, he has not been anywhere near as good as some of the best fullbacks in the world

In such a scenario, signing someone like, Sergio Reguilon, who was solid at the back and also productive in the attacking third for Sevilla last term, could prove to be fruitful for Man United. We shall see how the transfer saga unfolds in the coming days and will keep you updated.
