Man Utd would be prepared to offer around £43million to get signing done – Report

Saul Niguez Atletico Madrid

Manchester United have been linked with Saul Niguez in the past and once again, the Atletico Madrid star is in the focus.

According to El Larguero (via Cadena Ser), the Spanish international could leave the Rojiblancos in the summer transfer window. He has lost the support of the dressing room and it is very difficult to reverse the situation.

On the other hand, La Razon claim that the Red Devils are the only club to have shown interest in the La Roja star. It is stated that Man Utd would be prepared to offer around £43million (max) to secure the signing of the versatile midfielder.

The Spanish outlet further claim that the the 26-year-old has got a release clause of 150 million euros in his contract.

Saul is one of the most complete midfielders around. He has been consistently impressive for Atletico Madrid under the management of Diego Simeone. The Spaniard can maneuver and strike the ball with both feet and keeping in view that his contract will expire in 2026, the price of £43million should really be considered as a bargain.

La Razon claim that Atletico are eyeing the signing of Napoli star Fabian Ruiz, who would cost around £43million, to replace the 19-capped international at the Wanda Metropolitano.

Saul can effectively play as a defensive midfielder, in the central midfield and even as an attacker midfielder if needed. This season, Simeone has not preferred him much and therefore, he has only managed to start just 14 league games.

At Old Trafford, Solskjaer really needs to improve things in the center of the park. Midfield is the one department that he has not reinforced since taking over as the head coach of Man Utd. It must be taken into consideration that Pogba has been inconsistent and injury prone in the last two seasons, on the other hand, veteran Matic is past his best and normally warms the bench.

In such a scenario, should Man Utd move in to secure the signing of Saul Niguez?
