Manchester United failed in attempt to sign this Juventus star in summer transfer

Paulo Dybala

Super-agent Mino Raiola reportedly failed in an attempt to persuade Juventus forward Paulo Dybala to join Manchester United during the summer transfer window. The 49-year-old has been a game-changer for United of late having brought in the likes of Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Paul Pogba, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Romelu Lukaku to Old Trafford.

According to Tuttosport h/t Metro, Raiola has sought to become the representative of Dybala in the summer in order to push through a move to United. However, the Argentina international snubbed advances from him as well as Jorge Mendes to employ his brother Gustavo, who lives in Barcelona.

Jose Mourinho’s side have been strongly linked with a move for Dybala recently with suggestions that the club could lodge a club-record £155m bid for his services next summer. However, such claims have been dismissed by Juventus’ director general Beppe Marotta, who insists that the attacker wants to remain in Turin for life.

Dybala has made massive progress since his move from Palermo two years ago, and Juventus appear keen on making a financial sacrifice in order to avoid his future exit. The Argentine has already amassed 12 goals in just 10 outings this term, and he is on course for his best season in the Old Lady shirt.
