Manchester United have been provided encouragement in their hopes of signing Ivan Perisic following comments made by Inter Milan manager Luciano Spalletti.
It is no secret that Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is looking to make a few more additions to his squad and signing an attacking wide man seems to be one of the priorities for the Portuguese tactician.
Inter Milan star Ivan Perisic has incessantly been linked with a move to United over the past few weeks but despite the strong speculation, the Red Devils have not yet been able to sign the Croatian international.
It is believed that the factor holding up the deal is due to United refusing to match Inter’s £48million asking price for Perisic but nonetheless, the Premier League giants have been apparently handed encouragement to keep pursuing the attacker by Inter boss Luciano Spalletti.
Spalletti recently commented on the future of Perisic and admitted that if Inter were to receive the ‘right’ offer for the 28-year-old; they would consider selling their star man.
He said, “He is a fantastic player and if his future was totally up to me, I would definitely keep him. However, if an offer comes and the club are satisfied with the money, which will be used to invest in and strengthen the team, he could leave.”
