Manchester United have steadied the ship under Ruud van Nistelrooy after a horrendous start to the season under Erik ten Hag.
The Dutch coach couldn’t secure a win to save his life but his successor, although appointed for the interim, has done a good job.

It is too early to say if the Red Devils are riding a new manager bounce or if this is a turn for the better. Ruud is not going to occupy his role for much longer and Ruben Amorim is set to take over next week, looking to spearhead a new project.
Even before the arrival of the new manager, the club continues to be linked with new players in the transfer market.
As per Christian Falk, Manchester United have made contact to sign Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sane.
The journalist reveals that Sane, whose contract expires in 2025, has interest from the Red Devils and Arsenal. However, the ex-Manchester City winger wants to wait and see if Bayern offer him a new contract before making a decision.
Sane has lost prominence in the team under Vincent Kompany so far this season, with summer signing Michael Olise pipping him to the right-wing role.
The German winger is now mostly used as a super-sub in an attempt to add attacking impetus to the game.
The 28-year-old has seen his role transition since his time with Manchester City. He was an electric, traditional, left-footed winger who operated on the left wing and has now become an inverted winger who loves to operate from the right.
Manchester United fans might not be receptive to the idea of signing an ex-Manchester City player but if Leroy Sane is available on a free transfer, there might not be much arguments there.
It remains to be seen if the Red Devils convince the £20million a year player to join the club next summer.
