Manchester United have so far secured two signings in the summer transfer window and reports suggest that they are ready to make an offer to sign another player.

According to an exclusive report covered by The Sun today, the Red Devils are set to move in with a bid to hire the services of Scottish international and Aston Villa midfielder John McGinn.

Transfer: Report – Man Utd believe they will be clear to secure signing of £70million attacker

The British source have claimed that Villa value the player at £50million and want to agree a new contract with him.

McGinn is a versatile talent, who can effectively play in multiple midfield positions (defensive and attacking) but mostly, he plays in the creative central midfield role.

He signed for the Birmingham based club in August last year and was impressive in their Championship campaign last term. In all competitions, he featured in 48 games for the club and directly contributed in 21 goals (9 goals and 12 assists).

Not to forget, the midfielder scored the decisive goal against Derby County in the Championship play-offs final to get Aston Villa back into the top flight of English football.

This summer, United have already signed two 21-year-olds in the form of Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka. Their interest in 24-year-old McGinn further confirms that Solskjaer is looking to invest in young players to ensure that the club’s future is bright.

The Red Devils agreed £50million deal (The Sun) to lure Wan-Bissaka, who completed his first full Premier League campaign last term. Now, should they splash another £50million to lure McGinn, who has only played in the top flight of Scottish football so far?
