Manchester United have been linked with Sporting CP star Bruno Fernandes for quite some time.
As per latest reports going on in the media, things are looking positive for the Red Devils.
As per The Metro, United are genuinely interested in hiring the services of the Portuguese international but his huge price tag of £70million is a concern.
On the other hand, more recently, London Evening Standard have claimed that United are confident they will get a clear run to sign Fernandes and Newcastle midfielder Sean Longstaff.
As far as the Primeira Liga star is concerned, ES have stated that rivals like Man City, Liverpool and Spurs have pulled out of the race to sign the 24-year-old attacking midfielder leaving Man Utd with ample to assess the situation.
I think that this transfer saga has dragged on for far too long but hopefully, it will end with the player moving to Old Trafford.
We should look to conclude our transfer business and reinforce the squad as soon as possible so that the new players would get enough time to fit in Solskjaer’s system before the start of the new campaign.
In the last campaign, Fernandes directly contributed in 50 goals in all competitions for the Portuguese club. Moreover, he was a key member of the Portugal’s national squad that lifted the UEFA Nations League trophy earlier this month.
