Utd’s £49 million target leaving training camp adds more fuel to speculation fire

Ivan Perisic leaves Inter’s pre-season training camp and adds more oil to the fire as speculations about his transfer to Manchester United mount.

Inter officially announced that Perisic is suffering from a toothache and they allowed him to go to Croatia and see his personal dentist. Whether that story is true or not, the rumors about his potential move to Old Trafford will now definitely won’t go away, while Jose Mourinho apparently wants to see the 28-year-old winger at Man United.

Mourinho already had two bids rejected for the Croatian international as Inter refused to sell him £35 million and £39.5 million as well. Now, United are preparing another offer, and it has to be very close to Inter’s asking price of £49 million, or the Red Devils could jeopardize the deal.

However, Inter will not stand in his way if the suitable offer comes in and will not keep the player against his will, which is a good sign for Jose Mourinho and United. Also, is it said that the Italians would ask for Anthony Martial to join them on loan as part of the transfer.

Manchester United wanted to sort this deal before their trip to the pre-season in the United States, but they are still very interested in Perisic and will try to get him to Old Trafford before Inter’s China pre-season trip later this month.

At the moment, Perisic arrived at his homeland and will miss the friendly match against Nurnberg, and is well aware of United’s interest, so we’ll see what will happen in the next few days as Mourinho is still in the search for a new winger.
