Manchester United have been linked with Ansu Fati for some time and the Spanish international is once again in the focus.
As per today’s version of Mundo Deportivo (news image provided below), Barcelona president, Joan Laporta, traveled to Portugal to meet with super agent, Jorge Mendes.
The Catalan club are interested in Bernardo Silva and Joao Cancelo and discussed the contract extension of Alejandro Balde.
Furthermore, the future of Ansu Fati was also discussed. The Spanish international has only started 9 league games in the current campaign and could end up leaving the Blaugrana in the summer.
It is stated that Mendes has already offered the 20-year-old playmaker to Man Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal and Newcastle.
The Catalan news source have mentioned that Fati, who has a contract until 2027, wants to stay with Barca but his departure is a major possibility.
Last month, Sport revealed the Red Devils have moved in to lure the 7-capped international, who would cost around £88m (100 million euros) in the summer transfer window.
Erik ten Hag needs to improve the quality and depth of the wide attacking positions. His favorite, Antony, has failed to shine since joining the club from Ajax.
In January, Liverpool were able to steal the signing of Cody Gakpo, who was heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford. Should United accept Mendes’ offer to sign Ansu Fati? Is he worth £88m?
