Man Utd have offered a contract to James Overy, who has also been on the radar of Everton, West Ham and Championship winners, Leicester City.

It is reported that the young defender is expected to turn down the likes of Toffees, Hammers and the Foxes in order to accept a move to Old Trafford.

Under the management of Sir Alex Ferguson, the Premier League giants consistently promoted talented youngsters, who ended up helping the club win titles.

Since the appointment of Erik ten Hag, Man Utd have splashed heavy amounts of cash to reinforce the key departments of the squad.

However, majority of the new signings have failed and the 20-time English champions needed their youngsters to win the FA Cup.

Garnacho and Mainoo, two 19-year-olds, were brilliant in the last campaign and Manchester United must focus on the youth, who are ready to step up and fight for the badge.

As per MEN, James Overy has the potential to progress and make the first team at Man Utd.

The Red Devils won the U-18 Premier League title last term and the Australian fullback could be part of the squad next season.
