Frenkie de Jong does not want to leave Barcelona but the Catalan club want him out to improve their financial situation.
As per today’s version of Sport, there is a new message for De Jong i.e. leave or forget about playing in the midfield.

Xavi is giving a clear indication that there is no place for the Dutch midfielder in the center of the park.
The Barcelona boss used De Jong in the central defense with Ronald Araujo against Inter Miami.
Moreover, vs Real Madrid, the former Ajax man once again came on in the second half to feature in the central defense with Garcia first and then with Pique.
The 25-year-old has been assured that if he stays at Barca, it will be extremely difficult for him to feature in the midfield. The Blaugrana already have an agreement with Man United and it is reported that even Chelsea are interested in signing him.
Xavi has denied that he is giving any message but indicated that the player could be sold due to financial reasons. He stated:
